How To Send Video From Android To Bigger Screens
How To Send Video From Android To Bigger Screens
Getting content from your Android phone to your TV or other bigger screen is easy.
Here are your options for watching phone entertainment on a big screen.
One of the simplest is to use a cable.
You’ll need a dongle and that depends on your phone.
Using your Mini USB port
Slimport vs MHL
Many phones can send video over the USB connector but there are two flavors: MHL and Slimport.
MHL is older and simpler, but needs to also be supported by your TV.
Slimport is newer and more complex but will work with any TV with an HDMI connector.
It needs its own power source.
MicroHDMI
Also check your phone, it might have a micro HDMI connector.
If so, you can use that without an adapter. Just a mini HDMI to HDMI cable.
If you don’t want to be bothered by cables, use Google’s Chromecast, which is built into
Android.
Chromecast
You’ll need a Chromecast dongle, unless you have an Android TV, and the Google Home app
to set it up.
Once they are paired, look for the Chromecast button in apps to send video and audio.
